It is pointless, to be polite, to preface any statement
with “I think” or “I feel” or “I believe” when it comes to pronouncements about
God’s intentions toward man or how He created us to be. This is a subjective
thought that has no moral authority to rest upon; it begins with the speaker
and carries no further, denoting rather personal preference over what is truly
good or evil, right or wrong. In fact such thinking nullifies the concepts of
good and evil or right and wrong, since it permits every single individual to
re-create them as they see fit to govern their own lives with. The outcome of
this is the widespread pain and misery engulfing our planet, as the apostle
warns: “Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from
your desires for pleasure that war in your members? You lust and do not have.
You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have
because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that
you may spend it on your pleasures,” James 4:1-3.
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved, Acts 4:12. My wife and I hope that our Blog may be used as a tool to promote the gospel of Jesus Christ. We desire to minister His message of salvation to anyone who is willing to hear us. We believe His free gift of salvation is available to all, and we invite whosoever will to come and take freely of the water of life, Revelation 22:17.

Speaking for God, Part 1
There is certainly a popular trend today. That trend
happens can be found plastered across not only Internet chats and comments but
in person to person conversation; it’s the alarming trend of endeavoring to
speak for God. Unfortunately most of what is being said “out there” runs
utterly contrary to previous declarations of what God has said which alludes to
a disturbing and careless mindset in the American public. We no longer appear
interested in what God may actually have said (via revelation) but lean toward
what we would like Him to say, or liken Him to ourselves and from that premise
deduce what we think He would say. There is a horrific amount of error to be
found in this thinking, and since such people base their authority solely upon
their feelings or opinions it removes them from proper correction according to
what God has actually said on any given topic.
