His entire life was lived in submission to the Father and His prayer life was an amazing reflection of His total surrender. Unless we're willing to be more Christ-like in our lives , our prayers will not be answered by God.<br />When my prayers fail I look to myself first and consider what I have done, am doing or holding back from God that hinders my fellowship. I John 5:14 sums up much of what you have point out. If we are not surrendered to his will and obeying him, we can't legitimately ask in his name because we aren't working for him.
